  32. If you can use a port with Hyperterminal, then you can also use it with
  33. Kermit 95 1.1.13 as a TAPI device (see UPDATES.TXT section 6.10).

  35. If you can't use it with Hyperterminal, then you have a Windows
  36. configuration issue because Kermit must access the ports through the
  37. Windows drivers.  As you probably know, PCs are not well designed to use
  38. more than 2 COM ports (some might say they are not well designed to use
  39. more than zero COM ports) because of the shortage of hardware interrupts
  40. (inter alia).  Thus, if you are having trouble with multiple COM ports,
  41. it is your job to configure your PC in such a way that each port can be
  42. used.  Sometimes you have to sacrifice some other device, like your
  43. sound board.
